We just wanted to take the opportunity to wish all of our teams, players, coaches, referees, parents, carers and spectators a fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We also send our best wishes and thanks to all the staff at our venues – Goals Sheffield, Goals Doncaster and Concord Sports Centre, and our sponsors, the Sheffield Trophy Centre and Twentytwo football kits and teamwear.
It’s been another whirlwind twelve months for the SYorks ACL. We are now into our second season of Under-12’s and Under-16’s football. The open age 5 and 7 a side Leagues continue to be a huge success, and the standard of football just gets better and better.
We’ve welcomed brilliant new teams – three from Rotherham United Community Trust, two from Chesterfield FC Community Trust, two from Wath Stars Juniors FC and two from Barton-Hull.
We’ve been working hard on our policies and procedures, and we have a new, updated League constitution.
Our editor Margaret restructured and improved the League website and in November we submitted our three-year strategy to Sheffield and Hallamshire FA, agreed by all our clubs, detailing our plan to make the League matchdays an even better experience than they already are; and we continue to be a massive contributor to the Stocksbridge Christmas Food Bank Drive. Not bad…..

It’s just left for us to remind you all to check the rearranged fixtures on our website, Welcome page, for the New Year.
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to seeing many of you at the 7’s matchday on the 8th January at Concord Sports Centre.

Happy Christmas!
And here’s a festive bounce from our League Secretary
Never let it be said that our League Secretary, Paul Jubb, doesn’t get into the Christmas spirit…
Here’s our Paul attending one of the many events he and his Bradford City Disability FC colleagues organise for players of all ages.
Paul’s the one in the red outfit practising his technique to get a better view at the Goals Centre….
Looks like a sin bin offence to us….
