Cerebral Palsy, Frame and Amputee football session for men, women, boys, and girls.
Sheffield FA have managed to secure funding through Yorkshire Sport to develop a Cerebral Palsy, Frame and Amputee football session for men, women, boys, and girls. The sessions will be supported by Sheffield United Community coaches.
To kick everything off there is a taster session on the 14th December 2022, at the EIS Sheffield for children 4-15 years.
After Christmas, starting in January the CP/Frame and amputee session will be held on: –
Saturday Mornings 10:00-11:00am at the Olympic Legacy Park for Adults (16+)
Tuesday Evenings 5-6pm for 4-15 years at the EIS Sheffield.
This is an exciting project and is a first for South Yorkshire and will be part of the England Talent pathway.

On Silent Support Weekend, actions speak louder than words. We want our leagues and clubs to join in with the first National Silent Support Weekend to promote good behaviour in Youth Football.
We’re encouraging spectators and coaches to show their support during the match through applause only. This will reduce pressure and confusion and give players a better opportunity to find their own voice and develop their game.
So, all you have to do is not talk, you can applaud good play from both teams, and then tell us your thoughts about the experience so we can feed into a national campaign to make improvements for the future. A digital link to a survey will be shared after the weekend for you to fill in to collect this information.
Join us and play your part on Silent Support Weekend 5th and 6th November 2022.

Youth teams across the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA region who achieve the highest Respect scores will qualify for our monthly draw to receive complimentary tickets to attend a local professional football match.
The Respect, Reward and Intervention initiative has been developed in partnership with our local youth leagues to improve behaviour at games and create the right environments for players and match officials to ensure that football is fun, safe and inclusive.
The following leagues will be taking part in this season’s Respect Teams of the Month awards:
- Sheffield & District Junior Sunday Football League
- Doncaster District Junior Sunday Football League
- Sheffield & Hallamshire Women’s & Girls League
- South Yorkshire Ability Counts League
How It Works
Any youth team that achieves 100% Full Time Respect score throughout the month will enter a draw. Our staff will pick two random teams to be our ‘Youth Respect Teams of the Month’, with both teams receiving complementary tickets to a local professional game at one of the below clubs:

- Sheffield United Football Club
- Sheffield United Women’s Football Club
