Last week, the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League lost one of its family when Ewan Hadfield, of City Knights Blue, passed away at the age of just 25.

Before this Sunday’s 7-a-side Tournament at Concord Sports Centre, the League plans to honour Ewan’s memory with a minute’s silence, followed by a round of applause.
The tribute is planned for 1.15 pm, and all our team members are more than welcome to join in.
Sharon Lavender, manger of City Knights, will be saying a few words in memory of Ewan.
Ewan’s family will be with us for the tribute, so any cards of sympathy from our clubs can be passed to them in person.
The family have asked that no flowers be given in Ewan’s memory, but have requested that teams make financial gifts, which they will then pass on to Ewan’s favourite charities.
The SYACL will be making a donation and encourages our teams to do the same.
