The SYACL is delighted to report that it has been successful in winning a bid for funding as part of the Football Foundation’s “Return to Football” grant scheme, writes Margaret Gregory for SYACL.com
The Football Foundation is a charity jointly funded by the Premier League, the Football Association and the Government; Return to Football is a £2.1m fund financed by the FA and Sport England, using money from the National Lottery, which was set up to provide grants of up to £2.5k in support of clubs and organisations who were restarting or setting up new football activities.
The SYACL’s bid for funding was successful, with the maximum of £2500 awarded to the League.
Chairman Mike Stylianou, who put together the application, told the SYACL.com “I’m delighted to tell everyone involved with the League that the Return to Football grant from the Football Foundation has now been deposited in the League account.”
“We have a number of projects planned as the League restarts, so this funding will be very welcome.”
“I’d like to thank the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA for their continued support.”
